How much does a service dog cost?

A fully trained service dog can cost between $15,000 to $30,000 and even up to $50,000 depending on training, tasks, and organization. At Unity Service Dogs we focus on affordable service dogs, our typical service dog cost ranges from $12,000 to $25,000.

What is the best breed for service dogs?

There are many common breeds used for service dogs, such as German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, and Doodles. At Unity Service Dogs we focus on the individual dogs ability and temperament; we don’t focus on just one breed of dog.

Can I fundraise to cover the cost of training my dog?
Financing + Fundraising

Unfortunately, we do not offer financing at this time. To acquire financing for a service dog we recommend, exploring nonprofit organizations, crowdfunding platforms, or seeking assistance from local disability service agencies.

Yes! Absolutely. Check out our “Fundraising” page for resources and information on private fundraising. One can utilize fundraising platforms, organize events, or reach out to community members and businesses to help cover service dog training expenses.

What is the process to apply for a service dog?

Do you offer service dogs for children or adolescents?
Proccess + Children

Start by filling out our application online! We will contact you to set up and schedule a consultation, and afterward; sign up for training that suits your needs. We will then begin training, and when finished; deliver and certify your newly trained service dog.

Yes, we do on occasion supply service dogs to aid children with disabilities. Contact us to find out the process and what special requirements are needed for your child to qualify.

Can you train my current dog to be my service dog?

Yes! Fill out an application online. We will then schedule an evaluation to determine if your current dog can be trained for your service needs.

Can my service dog be dual trained for my psychiatric & physical disabilities?

Yes! Once you’ve filled out an application, we will get in touch and explain the customized training plan to aid your unique disabilities and needs.

Will my service dog be allowed in public places?

Yes! Unity Service Dogs will provide you will all necessary documents and paperwork to fly with your service dog. We also help you ever step of the way for handling and flying tips.

Yes! Once your dog is trained as your service dog or if you purchase a fully trained service dog to aid your disability, your dog will be able to accompany you in public.
